There are many benefits to marching. Did you know?

• 92 percent of all child marchers have gone on to win the Carpini Cup
• Only 6 percent of all child marchers have failed their next science exam
• 88 percent of all child marchers have gone on to pass their drivers' exam on the first try
• A statistically insignificant number of adult marchers have developed parade-related skin rashes

Please wear your LSC shirt if possible. Also bring an old soccer ball that you wouldn't mind ruining on the pavement.

Fall Soccer Registration Begins!‏

Hey - I still have mud on my shoes from the last Carpini Cup - can it be time to register for soccer already?

Registration has begun for our Fall 2013 season! Please register on-line at www.lsclub.com (Use the register button in the right corner)

We offer three Fall programs:

• Kinderkickers (Kindergarteners and Pre-K)
• In-Town (Grades 1-9 and HS Co-Ed)
• Travel Program

Registration Fees - The registration fee per child is $65 for in-town, kinderkickers and travel tryouts.   The system will automatically calculate the amount due per household (plus late fee, if applicable) A late fee of $50 per family applies after May 5, 2013 (Waived for Kinderkickers)

Town Field Usage Fees - The Township of Livingston charges $10 per child per season and a $1 admin fee is also required.  These fees will be automatically added to your registration fee.  The Livingston Soccer Club will forward the fields usage fee to the town on your behalf.

Payment Options - The Livingston Soccer Club accepts credit cards (Visa or Master Card) when registering on-line. If you choose to pay by check, please send a check payable to Livingston Soccer Club along with a copy of your registration confirmation to:

Kinderkickers - Our youngest soccer players must be at least four years old on or before October 1, 2013.  Send Kinderkickers questions to Kinderkickers@lsclub.com. Program consists of seven Saturday morning sessions starting in early September. Our Kinderkickers program will be staffed full-time by professional soccer trainers.  Parents will not be asked to coach. We believe this will better prepare our wee ones for first grade soccer and beyond. 

In-Town Program (including HS Co-Ed) - Perfect for players of all skill levels! Please send questions to president@lsclub.com. Program consists of eight games (mostly Saturdays with some Sundays) starting in early September. 1st and 2nd graders will play a ninth game.  Grades 3-12 end the season with the annual Carpini Cup tournament.

Please note - 9th grade girls have the option to play either 7th/9th grade (all girls) or HS Co-Ed soccer.  Boys do not have this option.

Travel Program - Travel Program tryouts will begin in mid-April.  Please register ASAP.  Send Travel Program questions to Travel@lsclub.com. A separate email containing travel tryout dates and instructions will be sent later today.

In-Town Soccer Friend Request Rules‏

Now that registration has begun, allow me to explain our in-town player request and combining relatives rules.

Coaching Together - For our in-town soccer (Grades 1 through HS Co-Ed) we allow coaches to volunteer in groups of up to 3 - so of course that means the coaches’ kids are on the same team.

Mutual Friend Requests for 1st Graders- For 1st grade boys and girls we will honor one mutual friend request.  However,  we count kids of coaches who have requested to be together to have used their one mutual request.

Above First Grade - In order to attempt to form balanced teams using ratings provided by our coaches, we don’t allow friend requests.  Our one exception is for HS Co-Ed - in which we allow girls to sign up in groups of up to 4.

It’s All Relative - At all ages we automatically combine siblings, unless you ask us to keep them apart.  We do not combine any other relatives. Important exception - we can’t guarantee we can combine siblings if either or both register after our teams are formed.
